The works in this tiny Marina Port in the interior of "Mar Menor", (a salty lagoon in the south-east of the region of Murcia (Spain), linked with the Mediterranean sea), were promotoed by a concession tender launched by the Regional Government of Murcia.

The works included in the tender project presented by "Grupo Iniesta", were as follows:

  • Dredging and cleaning up of the flat harbour bottom.
  • Reordenering of the port moorings, according with the future composition of the fleet.
  • Increased capacity of the port, upgrading towards 243 moorings.
  • New anchor and mooring cables, gangaways and cour new floating jetties as replacement of the three old wood ones.
  • Refurbished shore ramp, equipped now with a Travelift for boats up to 20 Tn.
  • New facilities for seafaring, administrative office and general purposes .
